Chapter 4 (PG) - Devious Plans

Cedric Diggory was walking down the Great Hall, hand in hand with Ginny Weasley, a grin from ear to ear temporarily plastered onto his face. Of course, he had no romantic feelings for Ginny. He was just trying to get Fleur jealous. But he was getting the wrong girl jealous as well.

Cho was watching from the Ravenclaw table. Marietta tapped her shoulder. "Cho, you're looking intently at them, and pretty soon, I think they'll notice..." Cho jumped slightly. "Oh, oh, right. I just miss him so much. And he went for a thirteen year old as well. What does that Ginny Weasley have that I don't have?"

Marietta shrugged. "She definetely doesn't have your figure, if you know what I mean. But I suppose Cedric thinks she will, I mean, look at her mother. She's pretty big in a good way." Cho glared at her friend. "Not funny, Marietta! I need to get Cedric back somehow." "Aren't you mad at him for going out with that Fleur Delacour?" "Yes, but I love Cedric, and I can't ignore those feelings for much longer." Marietta rolled her eyes. "Love is rubbish." Cho sniffled a bit and went back to eating her breakfast.

Cedric and Ginny stopped by Ron, Harry, and Hermione. Their arms snaked around each other's backs and Ginny sighed happily. Waving their goodbyes, Ginny sat down next to Ron and giggled. Cedric walked over to the Hufflepuff table and started talking rapidly to his friend Ernie, that grin still proudly upon his handsome features.

--------------------------------------------------

Cedric was on his way to the Hufflepuff dormitory when Cho had caught up with him. He kept on walking until Cho grabbed his arm and tried to get an explanation for his recent behavior. Cedric stopped by a portrait of a man sleeping and sighed. He clenched his teeth.

"Cedric, how could you go for such a young'in?

"Look, Cho, you dumped me. I'm not going to discuss my relationship with Ginny, it's private and since we aren't friends anymore, I don't feel the need to let you know."

Cedric clenched his teeth and folded his arms. "Besides, we're over, Cho, and I'm not going to do anything about it because I don't have any feelings towards you."

Cho begged desperately and was even on the verge of crying now. "Cedric, how could you, though? She's so much younger than you, she's nothing special, she's hardly mature, she's even ugly, and-"

"Cho, you don't know her! So don't trash talk her, at least not in front of me! I'm going now. Goodbye!" Cedric stormed off angrily, taking in some deep breaths, his brows furrowed.

"But Cedric!"

Cedric turned around, fuming. In a very unlike-Cedric voice, he yelled overdramatically, "CHO, I DON'T LIKE YOU! I NEVER WILL! LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Everyone in the hall was watching them curiously. Some people were whispering. Cho became a human showerhead and ran in the other direction, wailing. Cedric groaned and started again.

--------------------------------------------------

"And it happened, just like that."

Cedric was telling Ginny what had happened just a few hours earlier. They were both sitting on a bench in the courtyard, Cedric stroking Ginny's hair. Ginny pushed his hand away. "Cedric, you were awfully rude to her. After all, she does have to deal with this, even if this isn't real."

Cedric shrugged. "Ginny, it doesn't matter. Fleur hasn't spoken to me in days. I think we should end this act. It was fun, no doubt, but I miss Fleur and it's not working." He sighed, scratching his head sullenly. "I made the wrong girl jealous and that wasn't supposed to happen."

Ginny nodded, understanding completely. "You're right, Cedric. Well, yes, it was definetely nice. Now I can go back to dating and stuff. But if you ever need anything else, just ask, alright? After all, you are like a huge help to my brother's best friend in this tournament."

Cedric laughed. "Alright. I'll remember that." He shared a friendly hug with her and walked away. Not knowing where to go, he thought he would go sit by the lake and ponder his next move.

--------------------------------------------------

He found a nice spot by a huge oak tree with many branches sprouting from it. Sitting down, he heard someone coming by the crackling of the leaves being pushed on by shoes, but thought nothing of it. He leaned against the tree and fiddled with a stick.

"I zaw you going to ze lake and I zought I should come, too."

He stopped twirling the stick around with his fingers and gulped. He turned his head slightly to see who it was, though he already knew. It was Fleur.

"Why are you here, Fleur? To brag about you and Roger?" Cedric concealed his happiness by being cynical.

Fleur sat close to him. "No, I was just saying 'ow much I missed you. Me and Roger broke up. I love you, Zedric." She placed her head on his shoulder slowly.

Cedric put his arm around her back and caressed her shoulder. "I love you too, Fleur."

And then he kissed her passionately.

--------------------------------------------------

"Zedric, do I 'ave to wake your zilly 'ead up again?" Fleur playfully tickled his bare torso. They were both lying naked, under Fleur's Beauxbatons dress and Cedric's Hufflepuff robe. With his grey eyes still closed, Cedric smiled. "I'm awake," he whispered in her ear.

Fleur kissed him and then sat up. She heaved a deep breath, not believing what had went on the night before. All she remembers is kissing Cedric and then lying underneath him, feeling some pressure on her abdomen. Oh, yeah, Fleur thought to herself. That happened. She giggled a bit.

Cedric sat up next to her, pulling on his boxers, then his pants, then his shirt. As he clothed himself, Fleur did the same, started with her underclothes and then that horrid dress that she hated so much.

"So, what do you want to do today?" Cedric asked Fleur, relaxing his arms behind his head. Fleur snuggled up to him, laying her head on his chest. "I want to stay 'ere for the rest of eternity, lying next to you and talking about abzolutely nothing," she said, smiling.

"I do too," he responded, his arm finding it's way around the small of her back.

I realize that this doesn't have anything to do with your "Butterflies and Badgers" story, but it's in response to your comment on my LJ. :)

I know!!! Clemence is so pretty. Too pretty, for her own good, haha. I'm envious as well.

Now Rob, on the other hand... ;)
